The problem
Why variant-name swatches break for real brands
Every swatch app on the market binds a swatch to the variant name. If "01", "Nude", or "Shade 2" appears across many products, they all inherit the same swatch — even when the actual shades are nothing alike.
As a brand with multiple products sharing variant names but completely different shades, this created huge, visible mismatches across collection and product pages.
On the product card, the buy button silently auto-selects the first variant and adds it to cart — so customers buy the wrong shade without ever choosing one.
